Antonia in daz problemo

DigiDotzDigiDotz Posts: 515

Got Antonia 1.2 in into daz, but noticed a strange problem - the fingers have what looks like some flipped normals. I have tried flipping them back but then when I convert to Subd (not shown below) for a smoother antonia, the surrounding faces get wierd

Has anyone out there got Antonia ...and does this happen with your version? Maybe I shouldnt subd in Daz?

I do have Antonia Polygon, both the standard and weight-mapped variants, but have never tried to use either in DAZ Studio before. As you are probably aware, Antonia was developed for use in Poser, and difficulties in using her in DAZ Studio should not be entirely unexpected, especially when it comes to textures.

I tried both the standard and weight -mapped versions in DAZ Studio 4.6, and can report that I got the same results that you did with both around the fingernails. It certainly appears to be flipped normals. I cannot say whether playing with SubD will address the issue.

Perhaps this will bump the thread and someone else with experience in attempting to use her in DS can offer help. (I have the advantage of being able to use her in Poser if and when needed, so I am naturally reluctant to spend too much time wrestling the issue to the ground)

Thanks for checking. I will try some other things as I think she is still worth it ;-)

    Hi

I converted the original 1.2l to Triax weight mapping, seems to work well.

I downloaded Amy's version last night and its the same.

Well ...it turns out that after flipping the normal its still a little strange, subd makes it look like a blister UNTIL rendered
