Daz to Unreal Bridge - uncertain

Hello,

Not sure if this has been already posted/asked somewhere, but do you now have to buy a bridge from UE marketplace for Daz to share content into UE 4.27 and up?

not, really currently you can get the "free version" here from daz, i would say from this link:

    https://github.com/David-Vodhanel/DazToRuntime/releases

which is where you can find the "latest version of the pluging made by the creator.

So, are these like the official Unreal Bridges or are they Betas?

since it's come from the creator branch and not the daz branch i would call then "beta", but they are pretty good overal, the only issue with the latest version is when you export a high resolution character, if you "break a model into "pieces" and that pieces are not perfect cut, they will have some issues, but if you export a full model then no issues which you would not already saw in past versions.

  • It's the same plugin.  I still support it on the marketplace, but you can get my updates for free from github or you can get them from the Daz github.  We merge each other's updates over time so there isn't one that's necessarily the latest.  The releases on github won't have as much testing per release, but the ones on the Epic Marketplace only get updated with new versions of the engine.
