importing a file not of Daz origin

Can it be done? What type of file can be uploaded if so?
I have a background that I would like to use, but it is .jpeg or .xfc
I could put it in GIMP and export it as several different types of files.

If it can be done, please leave me a step guide to do it.

    Window>Panes(Tabs)>Environment

    Set Active type to Backdrop

    Click the triangle next to the colour bar and select Browse

    Navigate to and select your image - the jpg should work, I don't think xfc will.
