any way to get a security camera POV render style?

Is it possible to render images but have the POV in a type of security/survellience camera footage theme/lens effect? what do I mean? (see pic for example) it looks like cam footage in the image. Is there some type of product that allows you to edit the render in such a way the graphics etc looks more like camera footage? oh this is for Iray also.

Please don't confuse this with fisheye lens. I see those products for sale but they aren't what I am after in this case. Thx.

    there are 2 options.
one, use a product like https://www.daz3d.com/kacc-character-cameras-for-genesis-8 to get the right pov

    two. photoshop your image.

it's probably going to be a combination of both.

  • Adding things like the 'REC', date, 'Camera 2' etc is easiest done in Photoshop/GIMP/etc - just add a new layer and add lines/text on top of that. Choosing the right font is important too.

For the image effects, it'd also be easiest in postwork (again PS/GIMP/etc)- desaturate the image slightly and add some grain to make the camera lower-quality. Add the black side bars by filling rectangular selections (ideally on a new layer so you can edit it later).

This font might work:  VCR OSD Mono

  • I'm sure I've seen a product in the store that does something like that, but it's something best done in postwork if you ask me. Plenty of tutorials out there, this is the first one I found:
