Morph Loader Strangeness

I've been creating items with FBM and PBM-specific morphs for a while now, but ever since 4.7, there's always been one tiny issue or another.

Lately, I've been creating items for Genesis since it's unisex ... and I have more FBMs for it.

So, I'm making tons of morphs, applying them to objects with no problems what so ever. They work great and the way they're supposed to.

Now, when I do one specific one, and a very important one: FBMVictoria5 it doesn't work at all. Not only that, but this problem has started since 4.7. I'm using 4.8 beta right now and still giving me the same problem. I didn't think a different DS version would change anything.

No matter what I do, the morph is present in the Parameters hierarchy, like the others (i.e., Freak 4) but doesn't actually "load". It continues to do the default mesh mangle morph. I'm looking at the Property Hierarchy entries and I don't see how it's actually useful. I'm also wondering where the old entries that used to be found in Edit Mode have gone to. That's really why I can't confirm if the FBMVictoria5 is loading at all but all the other PBMs and FBMs show up in the hierarchy tab and also function properly.

I exported out all the major FBM and PBM out of DS as FBX and into Cheetah3D.

I have no trouble with any FBM or PBM except for Victoria 5 and I can't seem to figure out why.

What are you doing? Making morphs in clothes to match morphs in Genesis? What are looking for from the Edit mode that is no longer available?

Making morphs in clothes to follow morphs.

Back before 4.7 you could see the FBM sliders by unhiding them. You did that by going into Edit Mode on the Parameters tab.

I believe I found it. There is an option to Show Hidden Properties in the context menu of the Parameters tab.

Dial (on the base Genesis figure) says Victoria 5 is at 100% but the mesh is still mangled as if the morph wasn't loaded. Morph Loader Pro indicated that the morph was loaded and the Freak 4 morph works fine. I go into the hidden Morphs entry on the Parameters tab and Victoria 5 does not appear as an entry there. I also made sure I named the morph properly (FBMVictoria5), even copy and paste in one instance.

It's Victoria 5 and I don't know how to fix this.

I just started from a fresh base OBJ file and did a whole new Transfer operation.

Here's what Morph Loader Pro says:

    Loading morph FBMFreak4...
    Created morph successfully.
    Loading morph FBMVictoria5...
    Created morph successfully.

Cranked Freak 4 to 100%. Figure works fine. Went into Parameters and see the hidden FBMFreak4 dial is at 100%.

    Restored the figure.

Cranked Victoria 5 to 100%. Mesh is all mangled. Parameters also says it's at 100% but it's clearly not using the morph I created in the exact same way I made the Freak 4 morph.

So, I go into the Parameters tab and delete the FBMVictoria5 property completely, then reload it using Morph Loader.

Imports and created fine. Now, the mesh that's loaded looks more like the one I made however, the sizing is off. I thought of this before, and so I reexported a Victoria 5 mesh out as an FBX file and reimported it into my work file. The problem? The exported one lines up exactly as the one I did months ago.

Again, just not sure what's going on and why Victoria 5 is being the problem here.

    _______

Well, it seems that the "Reverse Deformations" option in the Morph Loader Pro loading screen for my FBMVictoria5 file may have done the trick....

Now the Freak 4 morph is boinking up. For some reason now I'm getting crosstalk between morphs... getting annoyed.

Actually, spoke way too soon. Doesn't work now.
