IRay/Skydome/IBL

Hi,
I've been experimenting with IRay environment controls, and despite searching everywhere I can't work out the following. I want to provide a background skydome image for my scene.
In the environment render settings I add very hirez IBL photo to the environment map. It all looks fine so long as I am rotating or panning the scene. As soon as I stop moving it goes blurry. All the lovely hirez detail is lost. I am wondering if it is being downsampled for lighting, and this map was never intended as a background? That is, it is purely a lighting map.
If I do want to provide a lovely crisp image as a skydome or background scene, what is the best way to do that?
Thanks,
Valkeerie

Have you tried rendering?
Yes. The render looked the same as the Iray render in the viewport i.e. blurred.

what file size is the IBL. I good IBL for backgrounds should be very large in file size. The one I am using in my next test is 148mb. If it is indeed highres then try checking DOF on the cam or make sure the Environment Blur in the render setting is OFF.
TIP: the wider your camera angle, the sharper your skydome will appear in the render
I've just done it all again and now it is fine ???? Perhaps I toggled Environment Blur by accident?
Thanks for the suggestions ...

Issue has come back .... as soon as I dropped an object in the scene, the background blurred. DoF was off. Removing the object made no difference ... the background is sharp while moving the view and blurs once the movement stops. I suspect if I quit DS and start afresh it will be fine again.
try resetting render option to default though it will change the image resolution and any setting you have adjusted. I haven't had that issue so it could be a bug, but it is only a guess.
