Why would I want Daz to make _icon's for every render?

its unnecessary clutter in my render folder but I would like to know where they come in to play?

I have yet to come across a situation where I saw them.

If they are not all that useful is there an option to never get them with my renders?

Thanks!

They are used in the program if/when one is using the Render Pane in D/S.

Yes, you can avoid getting those by selecting another folder to put your renders into.

    1. Window>panes(Tabs)>Render Library
    2. Open the option menu (the lined button in the top corner, or right-click the tab)>Render Directory manager...
    3. Select the current path, click the Edit... button, and select a folder that isn't used for images.

To stop DS from using the new location for renders,

    1. Do a render
    2. Click the picture icon next to the name of the Render Library at the bottom of the render window
    3. Select the folder icon.

you can now specify a folder to save to, rather than a render library, and as long as it isn't in an active render library you won't get thumbnails.
