Hospital Nightmare Scene.

This is a shot from an animation I’m working on.

I rendered it in 4K (1000 samples), and reduced it to a 1K image as I liked all the lines and wanted it as crisp as possible for this thread.

On an RTX 2070 Super at that resolution it took about 26 minutes to render. As an animation frame I won’t have that kind of time to play with. The max I can afford wait is 2 mins a frame, so will settle for 300 samples at 1K, which renders in 2 mins 10 seconds. (2nd image). I’ll upscale back to 4K from there.

If you compare the two images side by side, there is a lot of additional detail on the 4K reduced one.

I plan to move the camera around attached to a figure (first person viewpoint). He will either have a headlight attached to his helmet, or he will hold a torch. Whatever looks more dramatic. Mixed in with footstep echos, and only a faint hum in the background, it should be quite eery.
