Daz-to-Blender Bridge - understanding how to do stuff
Does anybody else find the "User's Manual" for the Daz-to-Blender bridge to be completely confusing?
I mean, and example from page 9:
However, it is very miscellaneous to give individual GUIs to the various functions.
Was this written in Chinese and then Google Translated to English?
So, let's get down to brass tacks.
Can anyone explain how to export a G8M figure with genitals (a.k.a "anatomical elements") to Blender? The Script menu has a Bridges > Blender > Daz to Blender : Genital option, but the user's manual makes no mention of it, and I can't find anything the forum. (Which may be due to the abysmal search capability of the forums, although I tried my Google Fu as well.)
It talks about "place Genital.dsa in DazStudio as shown on page 1," but page 1 makes no mention of this, which seems to be par for the course in this bit of "documentation." (And I searched, and there is no Genital.dsa anywhere in my Daz contents that I can find.) (And I also tried to look at the code in the GitHub repos, but forget trying to decypher that bit of undocumented... stuff.)
Similarly, what does the "Bridges > Blender > Daz to Blender : Morph Exporter" do? How do you use that?
Comments
Last time I checked the official bridge did not export geografts (male/female anatomical elements). The original version did, but after DAZ purchased it they had to change some things and that has not been added back in yet. And when it does, I think it will only support DAZ geografts, not 3rd party stuff.
I'm only worried about the Daz items.
And if it's not supported, why the "Genital" menu item? I'm pretty sure I'm running the latest version.
use diffeomorphic
Not helpful.
How so? It looks like you are looking for an importer for blender, that has decent documentation, that is continually updated. That's diffeomorphic. Much as I like daz, they are absulutely terrible at making documentation for things, and keeping that current.
