Icons in Scene Tab or other visual aids for organizing

If one could have the entries in Scene Tab have another icon, I don't mean the prop cube icon or the multi-prop icon but more type icon like: hair or cloth and preferably in color.

In large scenes you lose overview quickly and filtering is slow and tedious.

Another Idea would be to have alternating lighter or darker backgrounds of items belonging to the same group, for example: select an actor, right click: set BG color and have all items parented to it in the same background color, then have subsets for example hair-haircap and so on.

I would like to add my support for this idea. Icons are supposed to be iconic. When every last icon is the same gray on gray background, it becomes very tedious to use.
