Updated from 4.6 to 4.7 and .... first issue
Hello,
I'm using windows 7
Just updated to DAZ STUDIO 4.7.
on exploring I found that many of the items in the smart content toolbar are listed, BUT have no image in the icon.
I found that only the icons with an image would load. Those with no image could not be found, and to check the log file for the error(s).
In the log file I selected the objects name.
I then did a windows search for the missing file. I found that the object was installed to C:\Users\Public\public Documents\My DAZ 3D Library\Runtime\libraries\People\Genesis
BUT DAZ STUDIO isn't looking for content in the USERS\PUBLIC locations BUT in the USERS\ MAIN (my name) directory. I find this a bit baffeling as the program automatically selected to install the items in the public directory. Why DazStudio doesn't look there is totally baffeling.
I did a search for content on my C drive and the log file said:
Searching for content directories on C:/
Search finished, 0 content directories found.
So even when I do a search it skips over the Users\Public directories where the files were installed.
I then tried using the Contents Directory Manager and I manually added the Users\Public to the list of DAZ content directories. After a minute or so of directory updating it made no real changes. The icons without images are still not found. Why it knows to list these items when it can't find them is also baffeing.
I then did another search for files but it found no files to add.
Any insight ,please.

Add that path to the Content Directory Manager...Edit > Preferences > Content Library > Directory Management > Content Directory Manager...Expand both Daz Studio and Poser formats, then one at a time, select them and Add. Then navigate to that location...
This happens when leaving both DS and the DIM at the defaults. They don't actually 'talk' to each other so they don't know what the locations are that the other is using.
You could also go and reset the location that the DIM uses...but that is another series of steps...
Right-click on DAZ Studio Formats in the Content Library pane, select Add Base Directory from the menu, and select the My DAZ 3d Library folder in your public documents folder. Do the same with Poser formats, except selecting Add Runtime Directory.
