Help needed. Victoria 6 not working.

Purchased V6 (base figure) 5 days ago and installed it through the Installation manager.
Using DAZ 4.7 (latest), Windows 8.1 32 bit. Always crashes with this character during a render greater than 600 max pixels.
When loading V6 character, I notice a slight "stalling" with a "DAZ Not Responding" error and then it loads
and I can use it as I do any of my other content but when trying a normal render through DAZ it always crashes.
V4 works just fine. It's only the V6 character that is troublesome. I uninstalled it then reinstalled but to no avail.
Can the file be corrupted somehow? All else seems fine in Daz except for V6.
Your help is appreciated. Thank you.

Victoria 6 is a morph for Genesis 2 Female. Did you install the Genesis 2 Female Starter Essentials?
Yes. Everything else works except V6.
If you load G2F then dial the V6 shape, does the render work?
V6 default texture uses the Subsurface shader IIRC, it might be the problem.
I just loaded Gen 2 Fem base then through parameters, dialed in V6 and was able to achieve a render of 2800 x 1730 so your idea worked Leana. Thanks for that. But, can you tell me why it works this way but not by directly loading V6 as I do V4?
I really appreciate the help.
Dialling in the V6 morph does just that and nothing else. Loading the V6 character also applies the V6 textures with all the fancy settings (SSS, Normals, etc.) switched on. Did you leave it on the default G2F texture or add another one manually? That might be the extra resource hog that's straining your system. Do you have any other Generation6 characters, or do you just have V6?
Yes. I just left the default settings. As my PC isn't state-of-the-art, perhaps that's it.
I don't have any other V6 characters to test this assumption on but if the parameters
of V6 are much more demanding than V4 then I'm out of luck with this generation.
I assume it doesn't make any sense to purchase any other V6 Characters?
I am able to run Reality 4 without any problems and that's pretty demanding.
It's less likely to be a straightforward lack of computer horsepower, especially if you can use Reality — what's your operating system version, amount of RAM, graphics card (and have you updated your drivers recently) and how much free hard drive space (no need for hard figures, just "lots", "enough", or "not much" will do) do you have left? Any or all of these could have an effect on system stability.
One thing you should be able to do, though, is use V4 textures. There's an addon that gives Genesis2 the ability to use UVMaps for V4, although transferring V4 character morphs can get a bit complicated, and you might want to use G2F's own shaping morphs instead. That will give you the power and flexibility of G2 shapes, and the variety of V4 textures.
Thanks for your advice everyone. It is appreciated.
Kitty, I'm now beginning to think it's RAM or more precisely, not enough.
I'm running 3 gig RAM with 2 gigs virtual. I will be adding more RAM and increasing
my HDD virtual mem. DAZ tech told me to uninstall V6 and delete the package and then
reinstall through Install Manager which I did but still unstable though. They said that because of
V6's higher polygon count compared to V4's, it may just be a matter of not enough memory.
I'll see what happens after I install more RAM.
Yes, that amount of RAM is definitely marginal — I installed 8GB into my machine when it was new a few years ago, and I think I'll have to double that the next time I upgrade.
I'm thinking that I'm not going to wait...another 8 GB sounds like just what this machine needs...
