Vidal Braids
Hello - it's me again with yet another query that apparently relates to directory building.
I've just bought the Vidal Braids, and I've let the DAZ installation program do its thing. The files are stored in [my name]My documents/Daz3d/Studio/Content/ and then of course the usual data - people - runtime directories.
So loading the Vidal Braids.duf file I get the error message
"cannot find file /data/AprilYSH/VidalGenesis/VidalBraidsG2F/aprilyshVidalG2F_437536.dsf. This product may not work as intended" or words to that effect. And my Genesis 2 female ends up with a big grey box sitting on top of her shoulders.
But there in the em][my name]My documents/Daz3d/Studio/Content/data directory, the file /AprilYSH/VidalGenesis/VidalBraidsG2F/aprilyshVidalG2F_437536.dsf is certainly there.
So I highlight the big grey box, which gives me the Vidal Braids option in the product box in my window, and "merge" the /data/AprilYSH/VidalGenesis/VidalBraidsG2F/aprilyshVidalG2F_437536.dsf to it. This gives me an error message something like "unable to load file. See log file for more details.
And here is the log file -

So what's wrong now with my directory structure? What am I doing wrong?
Back in the good old days, Daz3D offered a manual option to search for missing files when a directory structure was corrupt, and it worked every time. It saved me hours of time. This new structure where when it can't find a file, it merely kicks you out - that's a huge backward step in my opinion.
Ohh for the joys of steam-driven computing!
