zbrush Goz Smoothing

Hey all. Quick question. Should be fairly easy to answer.
Is it possible to GoZ the geometry of something that has a smoothing mod applied to it?
I have these pants for my G2F. I have them on a high smoothing mod because they are technically for A3 and I don't have a clone for any of the Generation 3 figures. But with the smoothing mod on 12 it fits almost perfect. But when I go to Zbrush to do some fine tuning on the fit it imports into Zbrush with no smoothing mod applied. Was curious of there was a way to get around that.

Not that I know of, because, unlike subdivision, the smoothing isn't changing the geometry just how that geometry reacts in relation to other geometry. It's a very rudimentary collision system.
Why don't you just export the base G2F (zeroed and at base resolution) and the pants to Zbrush and create a fit morph for them? You'd get them to fit the base G2F better, which should be easier to fit/adapt to a morphed G2F...
Because its uniquely posed. But I will try that in the future.
The solution I think works best, as far as I can tell is to export said object and import it as an obj file, then apply the texture and surface settings to the object.
The only issue with that, is that it only works for one pose. :/
There should be a way to freeze a smoothing mod. That way after it smooths, you can hit Freeze, and then turn off the smoothing mod, or remove it all together. (Basically updates the geometry) Would make smoothing actors and hair clothing and stuff worlds better, and plus it would minimize system resource consumption.
I think that would be a handy dandy feature. :)
That would probably require a 'real' dynamic clothing option...and then there really wouldn't be a need to export/fix/import the item.
