Daz disappeared

I downloaded Daz, it seemed to work since the program opened by itself. I still had essentials to download and a few others, so I did that. When it finished I did the first tutorial. "bought" the dream Dagger pack. Then I closed everything.
This morning I can't find where to launch the program. I did find - Program files (x86) DAZ3D Daz3DIM1
It looks like there is a bunch of stuff in there, but no icon appeared on my desktop, and it won't launch.

I'm on Windows 8.1 - it's a 64 bit system

Did you install the 64 bit version? If yes, then look in the file browser under "Program", not the (x86) version. You should be able to locate DAZ3D, and a subfolder "DAZ Studio 4" there. In that folder, you will find the program. Just create a shortcut to the desktop from there; it never installs the desktop icon for me either, for reasons unknown.
