DAZ Studio will not open no matter what I do !

I've tried every conceivable way of launching the program. I've reinstalled it multiple times, tried different compatibility, tried it on a DIFFERENT computer andddd nothing. Nothing in the Task manager either.
Also attempts to download the program from the official site have failed due to host error. What is going on with DAZ? Is it a problem on my end or is it DAZ's?
This is so urgent , I really rely on DAZ for my artwork. I tried Poser and it was a nightmare.

What security programs do you use?
Lean back, take a deep breath.
DAZ has been having indirect issues because CloudFlare, the service they use to spread the load on the DAZ servers has been having issues - most of which should be sorted out by now.
Windows or Mac? Stand-alone installer or installed by DIM?
On Windows, go to C:\Users\\AppData\Roaming\DAZ 3D\Studio4 and look at the log.txt file to see what (if any) error messages show up. You'll need to scroll to the bottom to get the most recent messages.
Log file was for a version of DAZ that I uninstalled, so that wasn't very helpful
I use Windows. Studio 4.7 was installed with the install manager. After uninstalling all that I acquired Daz 4.0 and that doesn't open either.
I just tried again to download the file from the site but it said Failed - Network Error, so I suppose the CloudFlare problem has not been resolved. (Would it really prevent the program itself from launching?)
Something like BitDefender and iObit Malware Fighter. It also occured to me that these might prevent the program from opening so I did shut them down, but it doesn't seem to make a difference 0:
Hi!
You said you had problems downloading DS ? are you sure the installation you used is valid and not corrupt in any way ? if it does not work on two different computers it sound like there is something flaky with the installation files or something.
You used DIM for 4.7 so I assume you can run the install manager without problems (besides the connection problems) ?
What happens when you try start DS, do you get the "wait/hourglass" icon for a second or two or does nothing at all happen ?
Have you tried to start DS with windows in safe mode ? (in case something on your machine is causing problems)
You say you rely on DS for your artwork ? does this mean you had it working before on that computer ? have you changed to another computer or upgraded to another version of DS or what ?
Oh, by the way, get rid of IObit Malware Fighter, it does not do anything useful, it's just junk.

Idk considering I was downloading the installation from the official site I would think it wasn't corrupt. You get a few MB into the download before it says Failed - Network Error.
The DIM installed just fine, and yes when I try to start DS, there is the wait icon.
Its worked well for me for a long time, just one day it wouldn't open anymore :U Thanks for the tip about iObit I always found it quite annoying haha.
Anyway somebody said it was this sites Cloudflare server that has been faulty or something but apparently it should be fixed anddd it sadly is not. :c
I just tested and I was able to download the full 130+ MB Win x64 installer for DAZ Studio 4.7 from the Product Library in my account.
Thanks, I just tried that method myself and was able to download the program itself. However, it still will not open when I click on the launcher :U
you will need to start providing a lot of technical info about your computer.
This never happens, software cannot "just stop woking", if it worked before and don't work now something has changed on your computer, there is no other reason, software never change, only the environment where it runs change, you just have to find out what it is that has changed.
1: Did you try to start Windows in safe mode yet ?
2: Have you received any windows updates that could be the reason ?
3: Have you downloaded anything using DIM that could cause the problem ? (any beta downloads or whatever).
4: Have you installed some other software that could cause problems for it ?
5: Have you uninstalled some software that could cause problems ?
6: Have you updated some software on your computer that could be the problem ?
7: Have you changed some hardware on your computer ?
Look into what happend from they day it worked to the time when it no longer started, something has changed on your computer in that timeframe.
Did you try installing 4.0 and 4.7 at the same time? That might be the reason for your problems. I tried doing that with 4.5 and 4.7, and that was a mess to clean up before I got it running again.
I had a similar problem to this. Daz Studio would never open for me, even after complete re-installs (many times) of the software. I had made a few changes to my machine quite a few months back but hadn't used Daz Studio in all that time. So when it came time to use it again I found I now had a problem as Daz would not open and I couldn't remember what I did to my machine, so no backtracking on whatever change caused the problem.
After completely uninstalling and then reinstalling Daz many times I finally figured out the problem: Daz's Install Manager. That seemed to be causing my problem. So after another complete uninstall of everything Daz on my machine, from all directories, I decided to reinstall Daz without the Install Manager. So I don't have Install Manager on my machine at all. And it worked, Daz Studio opened once again.
I would LOVE to reinstall the Install Manager, as it is something I have always wanted for Daz Studio, but I'm worried it may cause me problems again.
If you haven't sorted out your Daz problem yet, tantantolee, it may be worth trying what I did :)
Lots of people install with DIM so that was not actual problem. There was some conflict with another program, usually anti-virus or firewall. Without full tech specs of your machine there is only so much help that can be offered.
Hundreds of thousands of people download and install DAZ Studio on their computers without issues, so the problem has to be with your system specs or your computer configuration.
I think it's pretty obvious that loads of people install the software without any problem. This person is asking for help as to what they can look at as a solution for their problem. If Daz Studio is the only bit of software with a problem then hopefully someone with knowledge of Daz and issues related to it can help. No point in telling someone that loads of other people don't have a problem
