How do you add a material to an outfit morph?

I have a outfit morph called Morphing Fantasy Dress for Genesis 2. I would like to add my own texture created in filter forge. How do I go about doing that? I will add the accents in photoshop later. I have no desire to purchase Zbrush as I am only creating 2d graphics for my apps.
thanks

Go to http://www.snowsultan.com/3.html and search for "Morphing Fantasy Dress (works on V3 and V4 MFDs, textures are compatible)" and download the mega_mfdseam.gif file.
Then open that seam guide file in Photoshop, The Gimp, or other 2D editing application and paint your texture using the seam guide as a guide. Save your painted texture as a PNG or JPEG file in your DAZ library runtime folder, probably in a new subfolder that you name with your name.
Then run DAZ Studio, load the Morphing Fantasy Dress, open the Surfaces Pane, select one of the dress surfaces, click on the image map next to diffuse color and select Browse. Browse to your new folder in the runtime folder and select your new texture file. Repeat for each of the dress surfaces. I think you can select all surfaces and change the images all at once, if you want to.
Lastly, File->Save As-> Material Preset so you can load the texture easily next time you want to use it.
You can find a tutorial on Chohole's website which helps.

Thank you! Will give it a go!
Can patterns be achieved in Carrara? Also creating your own hair for models?
I am working on it! How do change the texture of the dress is there is no seam pattern available. For example, I would like to change a tshirt fabric?
thanks

If you just want to change a piece of clothing color that is done in the diffuse channel by changing the 3 RGB color values on the surfaces tab.
here's a quick vidoe that gives you the basics:
