While posing the scene I'd like to change view to say wide screen or anamorphic scope, so I can pose and size the figures according to that view. Can this be done?

You'll have to change the frame through the render settings.
Alternately, you can pose several cameras at the angle you need for posing, and then switch between them, but they will also depend on what render frame you have set in your render settings.
If you want to watch several angles at once, you can either go under Window --> Viewport and split up the viewport screen itself, or go to Windows --> Panes and add the Aux Viewport.

In DS4.7 or higher you can set the dimensions/aspect ratio on each camera, so you can set up different cameras with different dimensions.

Thank you friends for your solutions, much appreciated.

  • how do i change the ratio in the viewport =700- 920 looks like a portrait photo crops off parts of work unless i pull it inside the box

  • In the Render Settings pane's Editor tab pick a different Dimension Preset, or just trun off the Constrain Proportions button and enter your own values for Pixel Size.
