DS is great' but I need to remove and re-install using DIM

Hi all,
Firstly I think DS 4.8 and 4.7 is superb, honestly' it truly has come on leaps and bounds since my last feeble attempt at rendering with it, and on my scene set-up computer it is unbelievably stable and fast' really fast' especially CPU rendering, I can't believe the speed and quality.
Now the down side.
I need to uninstall DAZ Studio 4.8 and 4.7 and all the content and start again on my rendering computer. I used Daz Install Manager (DIM) but everything has gone crazy, so how do I use DIM to uninstall, because I'm completely and utterly confused how it works and if I install any more content that I don't wish it too I shall digitally scalp it.
I've also noticed that both 4.8 and 4.7 haven't registered in Windows Control panel- Programs and Features/uninstaller although DAZ Content Management Service and DAZ Install Manager are showing.
An existing video tutorial would be great as they all talk about installing but nothing about uninstalling from those that I have watched.
Many thanks in advance.
Chris
P.S. What are the tick boxes supposed to do in DAZ Install Manager, because they most certainly don't allow a selection process.

Load DIM, go to the 'Installed' tab, select the items that you want to uninstall by ticking the box next to them,
The tick boxes select what you want to Download, Install or Uninstall. If they weren't there, you would have no choice in the matter.

Hi JimmyC_2009,
Thanks for the reply.
I assumed the tick boxes were for filtering the content either to install or uninstall, but that is one of the problems, DIM installed everything ticked or not.
Thanks again.
Chris
Thee are check boxes, on the left, that control what is installed/uninstalled. There are ticks, on the right, that indicate whether the item has metadata for Smart Content or not.
Hi Richard,
Thanks for your reply
I'm sure it's 90% me who's dim and 10% Daz DIM' I believe I'm over-thinking the matter.
I'll persevere until I can wrap my head around this.
Thanks once again.
Chris
