Need some outfit planning help

I'm trying to duplicate an outfit described in a book I read recently.  It's a full skirt in a tartan plaid, leather corset, linen top and a tartan wrap (that can also double as a blanket).  I can piece together the skirt, corset and top easily, it's the tartan shaw that's has me stumped.  Any suggestions?
