Problem - Daz products installation
My name is Daniel,
Since I am just starting to work with Daz, installing the content is a big problem. I have made some progress with scanning the products but none of it is exactly the way I like. Perhaps someone on this forum can help me with this issue. I will follow your instructions in detail.
My expertise is in CGI animation and I have recently attended specific animation instruction and did learn how to work with modelling and rigging with efficiency. Usually software does not cause me such difficulty.
I have been exploring Daz interface and am finding it extremely exciting and incredibly perfect for a fast production of animation and video games. I just love it, however, my frustration is overwhelming.
Can anyone help me with this issue?

Hi Daniel,
I'm not entirely certain what you're asking?
Do you have problems accessing the products that are already installed? Or do you have problems installing them? Can you please describe your problem a bit more detailed any maybe add a screenshot?
Also, have you watched the intro video tutorials?

Dear Friend,
I understand that installing the products doesn't mean they can be merged into the interface or canvas (An error message appears). I have learned how to manage each tool of the interface but I cannot find a solution to my problem. Daz tutorials have not been helpful to me. I decided the best thing to do is to start from scratch again. This means uninstalling the content management service, the software and start over again. My products, which are hundreds, cannot be merged into the canvas and some items do not even show up in the content library, which is empty. I don't have icons in smart content.:red:
What do you recommend?
Thanks for your reply/
Do you mean Content Library > DAZ Studio Formats and Content Library > Poser Formats are empty?
Dear Daniel,
I do not think it is necessary to uninstall everything.
Are you using DIM (DAZ Installation Manager) for downloading your content? If yes, please check to what location it installs the content.
You also need to check, if DAZ Studio knowns the directory you are installing to.
I have attached a guide to show you where to find thist information.
For the DIM, please have a look here: https://helpdaz.zendesk.com/entries/40327260-DAZ-Install-Manager-FAQ
For DS please check here:
https://helpdaz.zendesk.com/entries/20659227-content-configuration-in-daz-studio-4
If the two locations do not match, then DS can not find the content, and you have to add the folders in the settings of DS.
I am not sure if this will solve your problem, as I'm not sure I really understand the problem, so I apologize if this is something you already have tried.
