Poser Lights in Daz Studio? Would they Work?

Title asks it all. I found a LOVELY set of Poser lights, but something tells me they might not work in DAZ Studio...

You're right, poser lights don't really work on DS.
Thanks for the info--what a shame :p
Actually, they do generally work: but you have to set up the shadows and other finer points yourself once they're loaded. DS has always had a Poser Content compatibility that covers most (but not all) of the basic Poser content types, including lights.
Oh okay, that's great then! Thanks!
Some will work to some extent while others wont, just don't expect the same results from those that "work" as you wont get it.
I often used them for 'positioning' as you can select the light and replace it with the type of DS light you want at that location. It's been a while since I did a scene with PS lights but iirc, they come in as a single type of light that may or may not be the correct type, and will as Bejaymac mentioned, almost certainly need settings adjusted. Sometimes however, using them and the cameras for positioning can give one just the shortcut one needs to recreate the desired scenes with a little added knowledge and work.
