Can't select anything but the figure?

I bought some new stuff today. And after a faux pas with my background going white (not sure what I pressed to do that) and having to switch the workspace to get it looking like it used to. I can't select anything but the figure. When I put something on V4, I can't select the garment unless I click 'select all'. What in the world did I do?

I included a screen shot of what my Daz app looks like. Any advice on what to do to fix this would be greatly appreciated. I know I'm devastatingly knew to this. But I'm determined to learn my way around it.

    If you go to Window > Panes (Tabs) and select the 'Scene' pane, you can select anything in your scene from there. Just dock it next to your Content Library pane, it is one that you really need.

    You also seem to have the Node Selection Tool active, try pressing Alt+Shift+T for the Translate tool, it is easier to work with.
