How do I get the clothes to move to my character?

When I pose my character, the clothes don't move with them. So I tried putting the clothes on after I posed the character. Didn't work.

In this particular case, I was using the Victoria 4.2 base and Lottie 2 from the Lily and Lottie set. How do I pose the dress on the character?

    No, not this time.

    However, when I try to fit The Skirt to the character with Genesis. the bodice fits fine. But the skirt doesn't move.

    Lily and Lottie is a dynamic set, not conforming. Open up Window > Panes > Dynamic Clothing for the basic controls.

    You can also buy http://www.daz3d.com/dynamic-clothing-control for more control.

    Anything by Optitex is generally dynamic.

    In your second screenshot, look to see if the clothing has any sitting morphs. If not, you may have to hope the skirt has it's own rigging/handles and manually pose it.
