rendering and save an animation as gif folder

Help, I need to make this fairly soon and I still have no idea how to.
I know I cannot make the background go away ( to become transparent ) if I save just an animation movie. I know that the background can be transparent if I save the animation as gif file so that I can use it as a layer on top of footage in something like After Effect. But I don't know how. Please tell me how to render and save a footage of animation as gif file? I need them to be as a folder because it is quite a nuisance if they come out as individual frames as I might have a few hundered of frames. thank you. Mac user here.

DAZ Studio cannot save renders in the .GIF format, and I don't think it would be any use to you anyway, as the images are not suitable for larger renders or animation. GIF files are usually used for sprites and avatars, and as line art on web sites.
If you need transparency, PNG is what you should use. It also has a lossless compression, and an alpha (transparency) channel.
Daz Studio doesn't support saving directly to GIF. It does, however, support PNG files. You stated you don't want individual frames, but that's really the best option. GIF is a poor choice for video as it has a limited color palette. Even a 'true color' GIF breaks down the image to use individual blocks of 256 colors, which can result in odd looking patches.
Adobe After Effects supports loading in an image sequence which can be easily overlaid on any existing video or image. It's really the BEST option for video, since it allows you to import a lossless PNG format. The less information lost when creating the images, the better the video will be. There's nothing worse than using lossy compression on your files twice over.
Yeah there is....actually performing edits on those doubled-up lossy files...
Stick to the image sequence and if you absolutely MUST have a gif, in the end, convert it AFTER it's been made into a 'movie'....using a lossless format everywhere else in the process.
Thank you guys for the help.
To HeraldOfFire,
I do have Use Effect. So, my work flow should be,:
1) render the scene in image series.
2) open After Effect, import the individual images one by one?
Or how to make it as the image sequence that After Effect accepts?
You can open an image sequence in AE so that it knows it's a sequence. Just google that. It involves selecting the file type after you choose Import in After Effects. My workflow for this sort of thing is to render the shot with various elements turned on and off. I'll render just the foreground animated figures, then perhaps the middle ground, and the background. Backgrounds can often be rendered at a lower res or frame size to save on render time. This is because I often add blur to the BG in After Effects anyway. Rendering in layers like this gives you great control over color, contrast, focus and allows you to add other effects in front of and behind the layers.
