I use the actual DAZ Studio 4.20 and Unreal 5.0.1 and when I tried to activate the UE5 bridge I downloaded from github ( https://github.com/daz3d/DazToRuntime/tree/4.2.0-unreal5EA (Rel. v. 28.5.2021)) the project crashes with the info that the bridge is an older version and need a recompile with my IDE because it can not be done while running !?!?
What to do?
Try downloading it from here instead (usually more recent):
https://github.com/David-Vodhanel/DazToRuntime/releases
I've downloaded the latest version of bridge, but where do I put the files?
There is no manual "install" instructions?
The main folder goes into UE_5.0/Engine/Plugins and the .dll file in Resources goes into DazStudio4/Plugins. IIRC that's it.
Thanks!
That appears to have it working, now I just need to retrain myself on changing the skelatin mesh (they have completely changed the interface from 5.0 to 5.01... not sure where anything is any more :) )
Thanks it was a pain in the butt and waste of time and ressources to install an UE4 version that works with the original DAZ bridge, creating a UE4 project just to transfer and then migrate to the UE5 project.....
