Advanced Ambient Light Not Showing in Render

PatroklosPatroklos Posts: 533

It shows up as I set the scene, but not in the render. "Visible in render" is on. Any idea why it doesn't show?

I am using just one other light, a point light, so as to keep things simple.

Tried it with 3, same result.

Thanks

Are you rendering with 3Delight or with iRAY? I don't think they work at all in iRAY.

3delight, I have used them before & not had this problem.

I have shut down, rebooted and started again, but no change.

I have checked every setting on the render and the lights, I figure why this has happened.

From reading AoA tutorial I note that many of the controls that he speaks of don't appear,

    Any help would be appreciated.

AoA advanced lights need to be installed in two places to work properly. When you unzip the zip file you will find two folders. The files in the content folder go into your My Library folder and the files in the other folder have to go into the DAZ Program folder on your C drive.

    Hello,

I installed AAL using the instal manager, would that instal it correctly?

It should. Just make sure that in the settings under the applications tab you have it pointing to the right place where the DAZ Program is installed.

I am using the 4,8 Public Beta and for some reason AoA lights would not install properly so I had to do it manually as I pointed out in my last post. Hope this helps.

Right, I will check that as I'm using the same version of Daz as you are.
