Just got Michael 4. Installed with the install manager. This is my first Generation 4 character, all others are Genesis/Genesis 2. I don't have Poser. Using Studio 4.7 Pro. The character won't load at all. Any help is appreciated, but please assume that I don't really know anything about the directories. I have tried reinstalling M4 Base and M4 Powerloader.
Here are some screens:

That looks as if you didn't not install the base zip, or as if it ended up in the wrong place. If you used the Install manager with the default locations you should have, in your Shared/Public Documents folder, \Runtime\Libraries\!DAZ\Michael 4 - do you?
Let's see... I believe I left all install paths to default.
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\My DAZ 3D Library\Runtime\Libraries\!DAZ\Michael 4
I manually open this folder on my computer to find a bunch of folders like "Body" "Abdomen" etc etc.
Does that path look correct?
Edit: Just noticed this. It's pointing to a slightly different location "DAZ People" when I click on the icon and on "info". Not sure if this helps.
That sounds good -the !DAZ folder doesn't appear in the content library, it's a hidden folder with needed support files in it (like the Data, Runtime\Textures and Runtime\Geometries folders). OK, go to the C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\My DAZ 3D Library\Runtime\Libraries\!DAZ\ folder and double-click the DzCreateExPFiles-m4.bat file - it should open a black Command Prompt window, some messages should flash by, and it should close.
Alright, I did. No noticeable change, unless there are further instructions?
OK, try opening the Install manager and typing PowerLoader in the filter box at top-right - do you see anything Michael 4 related in the Ready to Download or Ready To install tabs? If so install it.
Nope. It's all been installed and reinstalled.
I've solved it.
I decided to use the Content Directory Manager to double check that "C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\My DAZ 3D Library" was mapped. It was, but not for Poser. I added the same directory under Poser, and it worked like a charm. It can now find and load all the Michael 4 files.
Talk about dumb luck... But thanks so much for the help!
Ah, I had expected the folder to be mapped for both formats by default - but that would depend on when you first installed DS.
