Advice for 3D scanning apps

Hello All,

I'm curious just how close to a real-life person I can get Daz to go. Haven't been impressed with any of the face transfer apps, but have seen what the FaceID camera can generate on my iPhone 12 Pro.

There are many 3D scanner apps available, and the free versions do a good job, but charge up to $100 for the ability to export the mesh in .stl or .obj, etc. has anybody done this, and what's the favored app to check out?

TIA,

Erik

Bellus3D is the first one that comes to mind, and I think that's free. R3DS might be free for limited use, but I haven't looked into it in quite a while. Basically all my knowledge of 3D scanning comes from watching Corridor videos, so I'm sure someone with actual knowledge can chime in.

    Yes, with Faceform Wrap.

The DAZ problem is always that the number of polygons is much reduced compared to what, as one example, Face Gen Artist is able to produce inside it's app; once that app exports out to DAZ, alot of the 3D details are gone. It's better in the Genesis 9 version than in the past though.
