So I was loading the "Queens Dress" Skirt, when the Autofit Dialogue popped up. but before I could click on any options, a "Import File" Dialogue popped up as well... however, it never loaded anything and just hung there. and of course it wouldn't close, and I couldn't click on anything else... so I had to crash it out... Sadly I was just about to save, but hadn't yet... any ideas on how to break out of that in case it happens again?

I don't have any advice, other than trying the Esc key to cancel, but someone else may if you post your system and application details. If it happens again, and if the entire machine doesn't freeze, try to take a screenshot.
So I tried to recreate the issue today, but no luck. However here is what I believe to have happened. My system is an older windows 64 bit box. It runs ok, but occasionally gets laggy. Last night it was running a bit slower than usual, with a very noticeable delay in reaction time ( as in selecting an item in the scene would take 5 to 10 seconds to show up in the parameters tab.) I loaded the Queens Dress Skirt, and it appeared to load. I then clicked on the texture for the dress, and that's when the autofit dialogue popped up. I think what happened is somehow due to the lagging, Daz tried to load the texture before it finished loading the dress, but was unable to finish loading as the dress was waiting for me to click the autofit box, but I was unable to click that as the loading dialogue was interrupting it... It is too bad the X to close that box, the esc button, and everything else couldn't break this loop.
One possible way, if the dialog boxes happen to be overlapping...grab them and try and drag them around your desktop. The one that wanted attention was probably buried behind one of the other ones. And DS will wait until the correct one is answered.
I have that happen quite often with one dialog box popping up behind the others...more so than I imagine Window or Mac users do, and I can almost always recover by dragging the boxes around to find the one wanting attention.
Yeah, unfortunately, the one that needed the attention was unclickable, as the one that was stalled would ding if I tried to click on anything other that it. I had to use the task manager to close Daz out.

What version of Windows? (I'm not sure about 8, but it still worked in 7...) Alt-tab is another possibility.
