Does Daz render things outside the camera view?

Does Daz render things outside the camera view?

Does it auto optimize so that only yhe things infron of the cameras rendered or everything in the scene gets included? If the latter is true then obviously thats a terrible waste of processing power, so what can I do to render only what is in front of the camera?

    It isn't any kind of waste, it's necessary - how else would it handle shadows and light bounces from out-of-view objects, or reflections of out-of-view objects?

    In the product details it said something along the lines of "reduces memory requirements.. and speeds up render times". Excuse my ignorance here, I'm pretty new to Daz.

    Scene Optimizer works by reducing mesh and texture resolution. Camera View Optimizer hides anything outside of the view of the camera by rendering them invisible, whereas Camera Doctor (specifically the Camera Cutaway module) uses Iray Section Planes. All of the above will reduce memory requirements, but they do it in different ways, and you can use Scene Optimizer with either Camera View Optimizer or Camera Cutaway to benefit from both approaches.

    Scene Optimiser doesn't actually reduce mesh, but it can adjust the division levels for things converted to SubD (like the Genesis figures) so for those items it will make them smaller than their defaults.
