VERY, VERY slow DIM downloads!

I've read up on this before, and now I'm in the same boat. Since Tuesday, I've had issues with the DIM's download speeds (after a fresh install of Windows 7 Pro). They are veeerrryyyy slow! This seems to happen a bit, form time-to-time, and I know it's not my internet or download speed (50mb/s). Thus, I haven't a clue of what to do, outside of waiting the downloads out.

Any suggestions?

    No idea, but you are not the only experiencing slow downloads, both DIM and manual downloads.

    Best guess is that the servers are getting hit hard with demands for downloads, due the the recent spate of releases, including the full release of DS 4.8.

    Glad to know it's not just me, then (I had begun to worry, since I don't see very many complaints).

    For part of last night, my DIM dropped as low as 13 KB/sec. Like chohole said, I figured it was probably high demand for the huge 4.8 related downloads. They took a LONG time to get at rates like that.

    I was really upset this morning when I was getting the sort of speed that I used to get before upgrading to the Fibre high speed package I have now.

    My speed had dropped from an average 2mb/s to 200 kb/s, not quite as bad as yours.

    I'm in a hotel right now. That might be part of it, but I was getting much higher speeds here before the 4.8 packages hit the DIM, so I point the finger at them. :-)

    I agree here, though I did have some slow instances a few weeks ago. Still, I've never seen it this bad (I barely get 300-500kb/s).

    My old computer crashed and I had to reload all of my daz3d software ... it took 48 hours at speed of 30k to 236kbps ... yes 48 hours. I thought that it was my internet company, but it appears to be the DAZ3D site. I love working with the DAZ3D software, but this is BAD!

    My download speed is 14 K. Most items just time out and I get "download failed." This is both DIM and manual. I'm ready to give up. What's the use of buying something if I can't download and use it? I filed a ticket on it a couple of weeks ago.
