daz4.8 Iray and strange dots.

I'm just wondering what these weird specs are, I rendered in 4.8 Iray, with 2 Spheres as mesh lights and the environment hdr set to 0.1 intensity. When Complete I have these strange pin sized dots. Used to, they would be gone by the time the render was complete in 3delight. All of the ones I've finished since experimenting with iray have had these at finish. All other the render settings are default except for the px size. THank you.

How did the render finish - time, convergence or iterations? If it took two hours, assuming you hadn't adjusted anything, that would be time which would indicate there was more work to be done on getting the image converged.

Hmm, I think it may have just stopped at the default time setting? Is there Something that tells it to stop at X or X, one X could be time? I think I saw something earlier about 7000 seconds, which I guess is about 2 hours?

The defaults are 2 hours, 95% convergence, or 5,000 iterations -it stops when it reaches any of those. You may need to adjust your lighting or Tone Control settings (in Render Settings) so that it can converge more quickly (convergence is the quality setting), or increase the amount of time allowed, or just render bigger and down-sample to eliminate the dots.
