How do you completely wipe an installation of DS

I'm pretty new to DAZ3D and I've had problems with the genesis and genesis 2 models. I've uninstalled and reinstalled DS (lost count) many times following the helpful advice found here but I seem to keep having 'ghost' files.

Uninstalling and re-installing the application (DAZ Studio) will have no effect on the content.

If you are having problems with Genesis/Genesis 2 can you please explain what you are seeing. DAZ Studio uses the information contained in Edit > Preferences > Content Library > Content Directory Manager, so the paths to your content need to be set up correctly there.

Where is you content installed to? How did you install it, DIM (DAZ Install Manager) or some other way? Do you have the correct paths to your content listed? It may be a good idea to post a screenshot of the Content Directory Manager with the path information shown for BOTH DAZ Studio Formats AND Poser Formats.

Is it Smart Content that you are having a problem with, or the Content Library pane?

I used the DIM to install the content and used the default path. But before that I was going in them and manually putting them in there (yup...total noob). After reading through the forums...I learned you can save yourself the grief by simply using DIM.

Lesson learned...I uninstalled DS...nuked the content library (and even deleted the content db from the programdata folder). Reinstalled everything the right way but when I tried to load a genesis 2 figure...it was saying that it couldn't locate some of the obj files.

I'll send a screenshot when I get to my laptop. Thanks in advance.
