Constant Crashing

DAZ 4.8 crashes on me every time after I get a figure loaded. The figure will load, then the system crashes, Actually according to my Task Manager, the system is still running, taking up a large bit of RAM, but the interface and all images are gone. I have done both manual and Install Manager reinstalls; nothing seems to work.
Oh and this applies to both the 64 and 32 bit installations
Has this been addressed?

What are your system specs? It works just fine for me and others so the only thing that needs addressing is what is wrong on your end.
Is this happening with a default figure with no modifications?
yes--Vicky 4, Michael 4 or Genesis--they all load, then the system stops

I would start with a memory test to verify that you don't have a bad stick of ram (click the start button and type in mdsched.exe, then press enter.).
Could you run Studio 4.7 without this happening?
Did you leave the iray preview mode turned on in the viewport by chance?
While I was an early adopter and beta tester on Daz Studio 3, I never really liked 4's interface so I didn't use it (I know, I'm a weirdo) So I TRIED 4 and 4.5 but never really used them much. But I didn't have this issue either
It is looking more like a hardware.driver issue and not a Studio problem.
I'm assuming, by looking at the specs you've posted that this is either a laptop or low-end desktop...probably with onboard video.
A crash, with the GUI gone, but the process still running sounds an awful lot like an 'out of memory' problem or a video driver, especially if the video card in question is an integrated Intel 'video solution'.
If it is onboard video, it is sharing RAM with the system, so you are starting with much less than 4 GB (don't count virtual memory, because neither Windows or Studio are very keen on being swapped to disk).
What was open when you took that system info?
It's showing you have 1 GB available...if that is before Studio is open, then right there is the problem...Studio itself, without anything loaded in it can take between 1/4 and 1/2 a GB...and loading any content can push much higher.
You don't have enough memory. Windows is closing the daz windows to save memory so that it can use the memory used for the loading of the figure. If there still isn't enough memory left for graphics it wont open these windows. You can try increasing the amount of disc space used as virtual memory. The machine will be using this as the swap file which will also slow your machine away down and, depending on what you are trying to load, can take a long time. I thiNk it is time to go for a memory upgrade. Doubling your memory would help.
According to the specs for your machine you can take it up to 16GB max of memory using both slots.

I did this with my laptop so be aware it runs very hot and needs plenty of air under and around it :-)
