DAZ Studio - Install my own content [SOLVED]

EDIT:
Marking this as "solved". With the helpful replies and comments posted I now have my user content on my laptop and desktop the same. I saved all my own user created files to logical folders in "My Daz3D Library" and I also saved my Mechs as '...Support Asset->Figure/Prop Asset'. Then I copied everything over to my laptop in the same structure(s) that I have on my Desktop. Now I have all my same content on my laptop and I can work across the network. BONUS: I have a much better understanding of how the Daz3D software handles files and a greater appreciation for the DIM!!!

Thanks again!

------------------------------------------
Hello Everyone,

So perhaps I'm asking the wrong questions, but in my forum searches and Google searches I'm coming up with nothing...

I have made some of my own content (Mech designs) and I have them imported and rigged with applied textures and shaders in DAZ Studio. So they work fine and each have their own sets of Aniblocks for things like walk cycles, firing weapons, starting, stopping, power up, etc...

All of this is on my desktop. I want to work on the same files (the saved "scene" files) using my laptop but my assests (the above mentioned Mechs) don't open properly. I get Mechs made of blocks - the geometry (and I assume materials and textures) are missing. So what is the best way to work with these kind of user created assets across a network? Even if someone could point me to the directions on how to install your own content that would be awesome. Using DIM it's easy to keep the same purchased content on my laptop as I have on my desktop, but I'm kind of at a loss about what to do with my own created content across machines/network.

Basically, my workflow is:
On my desktop...
1) Create Mech in Blender
2) Export OBJ
3) Import OBJ and Rig Skeleton in DAZ Studio
4) Save Mech as "Scene Subset" and categorize as "Transportation->Land"
5) Create animations/Aniblocks and save them
6) Use Mech(s) in Scene(s)
7) Save "Scene" on network drive (shared drive on my desktop)
... on my laptop...
1) Open saved "Scene" from shared network drive - get errors about missing geometry/assets
2) Giggle and run animation of big, Block-O-Mech!!!!
3) ... help please ...

Thank you.

You need the Data folder that has the converted geometry and any morphs - that will be easier to find if you save as an asset first, then the files will be in \Data\Author\Product where Author and product are the names you entered in the option dialogue.

That means use the Save As > Support Assets > Figure/Prop...

Just place the Data sub-folder you crated (\Author\Product) in the Data folder on the other machine.

One other vitally important question a lot of people miss is, where are you exporting the .obj and saving the scene to? If you save any of these files to the proper places in a folder D|S recognises as a Content location, then the final scene files will be loadable in any properly set up content folder in any computer. If you save to a random WIP folder somewhere else on your computer, then the data and texture file locations are locked — your nice new content will never work on any other computer unless you recreate exactly the same folder structure that exists on the first computer.

Or move the files to the 'proper' locations...manually load them again...and resave the modified asset, again.
