Congratulations!  If the movie kept playing, you would be the next victim in a horror movie.

...well back from my afternoon walk.  Nice break from the heatwave today and the following few days before the next one begins in about a week.  Went to the usual park to sit for a while and just enjoy the nice afternoon awhile being entertained by a bunch of fellows playing a pickup hoops game. Yeah sign of getting old I guess.

Part of my walk route involves crossing a busy street at a point where there is a fully marked, "zebra stripe" crosswalk, with very big highly visible signs and "stop lines" as well as a safety island. Now here in Portland OR, if a pedestrian steps into the crosswalk all traffic must stop.  If there is an island, only traffic in the set of lanes being crossed at the time must stop. Well today were I empowered to issue a "citizen's ticket" and collect the fines, I would have pocketed 2,340$ (based on the individual fine of 260$) as nine cars went right through in the near set of lanes after I had already stepped into the crosswalk (two of which went through in the second lane after one motorist had stopped).

Need to contact the police department and see if they'll hire me to help them when they do periodic crosswalk stings.

I fixed my signature finally.  Yea!  But in the process I discovered that apparenty our "Picture" and our "Avatar" cannot be different.  And apparenty animated GIFs do not work as avatars anymore.  sad

That's a lot of sleep!  Daffodils in winter?  Ours come up in May or June.  They don't last long, either.  A few weeks.  Right now we have Calla lilies.

Wow, that didn't work out right!  Not at all!

I had clicked Quote on the wrong post.  So I just clicked on Post Comment.  Then I copied the text from your previous post (ps1borg), edited my post, deleted the wrong quote and put the right one in.  Then I saved it.  Now it's indicating that Mysty said that she slept for 15 hours!  That's not right.
