Newbie question: Transfer Utility issue

Hey guys,
So I have a static hair object that I imported and ran the transfer utility on. But for some reason, as soon as the transfer utility completes its calculations, the hair object moves away from the head to another location. The utility seems to have worked, b/c when I move the character, the floating hair also moves. But my problem is it did not remain in place on his head.

Do you guys have any idea what the issue may be?

When you imported it, did you move it to try and fit it to your character? If so, that's your first problem.

If you did move it to line up with the zeroed figure, try hiding everything, then export as OBJ and reimport using the same preset, reapply materials, and use the Transfer Utility on that version.

Yes, lining it up, exporting and reimporting (Richard's method) is the easiest way to handle it.

Ok thanks guys. That did it. I didn't realize the character not only had to be reset in its pose, but also zeroed in its coordinates as well.

    Thanks again,

    Davide
