How do I make Ayaan hair usable?

I really like this hair but I think it's clogging up the memory in my scenes https://www.daz3d.com/dforce-ayaan-hair-for-genesis-8-females ;

In order to make it Iray viewable, I turn the Iray Preview ON, then Tesselations to 3 and Side Tesselations to 3

I don't know much about the Tesselation functions though, so would dialing them down help while still making the hair Iray visible? Is there something else I can do in order to use this and conserve memory?

    Your link doesn't work because of the semicolon at the end: https://www.daz3d.com/dforce-ayaan-hair-for-genesis-8-females

    Tesselations are the number of sides of each hair, 3 gives a triangle section, 4 gives a square section, 5 a pentagonal section, etc. A high value means a better quality, a higher amount of memory used and a longer time to render. A value of 1 seems to be the minimum, at least with the Manami Hair I tried on.

    Oh, I see, thanks for explaining that. It sounds like I maybe could get away with 1 or 2 sides, so I'll have to experiment
