Two separate figures compatibility

Hey,

I'm relatively new to DAZ, but I've been exploring the shop and software. I was curious if it is possible to merge a prop or clothing compatible with one figure (I.e. Michael) with a different figure like Genesis. Is that possible?

    Yes, the AutoFit function will allow some clothes to be fit from on generation to another (Michael4 to Genesis) and with some add-ons Genesis 2.

    Michael is the name DAZ has given its male base figure since generation 1 through generation 4. Genesis is the base figure for generation 5 and has Auto-Fit templates that allow generation 4 Michael's clothing and smart props to fit (with varying levels of accuracy). Genesis can also use Michael 4 UV mapped textures. Other than the use of Auto-Fit and similar modifying utilities stuff for one generation will not work well if at all on another generation.
