How to completely uninstal Daz for a fresh install?

Hey guys,
So I have been experiencing sudden rendering artifacts in in iRay after playing around with its settings, and I would like to try completely re-installing Daz to see if it resolves the issue (I already tried reseting the iRay settings to defaults, and I already tried uninstalling Daz through DIM but this method still retains all my settings).
What would be the most complete way of totally removing Daz so that all my settings will be reset?

the Daz Install Manager will let you remove the application. In some instances you may need to update the DIM before you can get to the application. Also if you start the download for the update, and 10 minutes into it it's still updating with no visual reference as to how far along it is or if it's even working and you cancel it to work off-line it will de-populate your install list and crash like mine just did. There may be several registry settings that you could remove but the registry is a dangerous playground to mess around it and depending on your tech savy you could cause serious problems if you remove the wrong resisters.
The other option is to look at your video drivers and make sure they are up-to-date since IRAY outside of CPU rendering is entirely handed off to a process written and owned by Nvidia, not Daz. Some artifacts are caused by over or under lighting areas of your render or not giving the render time to complete (either in time or by adjusting the settings for the render)
If you can post a shot of what your seeing as a reinstall may not be the proper fix for this issue.

Before you go that route...how about a picture of what is happening?
It could be something totally unrelated to any settings...and going the whole uninstall/cleanup route and then reinstalling may not be needed.

For your reference, I already tried uninstalling Daz using DIM. But it still kept all my settings when I reinstalled it (even my custom layout and everything). So it seems that I would need a more complete uninstall if I am to wipe all the custom settings.

So I went ahead and uninstalled every component installed with DIM, including Daz. Then I uninstalled DIM itself. And finally, I deleted the My Daz public folder and the My Library folder. Then I started with a fresh download of DIM and re-installed everything again.
Unfortunately, DAZ still remembered all my settings, my recent files, etc. I must have missed a folder somewhere that I wasn't aware of. If an admin can chime in here for some help, that would be appreciated.

If so, you didn't miss anything...the data you were seeking to eradicate is buried deep within the registry, engraved in stone, guarded by an army of trolls..
Did you read my query about Gamma being a very odd value? Without actual calibration equipment and a high-end monitor capable of being calibrated, 0.99 is a very wrong Gamma value. And since that value is used for much more than display purposes, a 'little' off can cause huge problems when something is expecting a linear workflow.
If you uninstall again, be sure that C:\Users\yourname\AppData\Roaming\DAZ 3D is also removed.
Defrag the drive.
Reboot the computer.
Reinstall.
Pray/make whatever living sacrifices your chosen deity requires (a bucket of chicken is no substitute for a live chicken - been there, done that).

I tried that. I even tried completely wiping my system and restoring to a previous image from 3 weeks ago. Yet Daz still remembered my settings.
It seems like my only option is to create a new account I suppose, I don't know.
All I know is that one the other day iRay was working fine. Then I began playing around with its settings, and the next day its broke.

Did you set the Gamma back to default?
Related to installing new versions--I think I've read that it's possible to have more than one version of Studio running (so I could install version 4.8 and continue to run 4.7). Just confirming since I was told that serial numbers transfer between versions so I guess I would be using my same serial from 4.7 on the 4.8 install on the same machine and it would work. Just confirming before I screw things up on my system (since everything is working fine).
