Thought I´d share my latest animation here

Don´t forget to watch the reference in the description so you can judge how I managed to recreate the body movement : ) : D

Animated in Maya using imported Genesis 2 Female Figure.

Not a bad matchmove, you can render fairly quickly what you see in the viewport using openGL just do not obscure the viewport, image series rather than an avi is best.

no, I use other software with DAZ content too
    and yes animation forum
    but
you could have just said it was in Maya in the first place so when reading your video description about viewport capture I did not look like a moron, some Maya users might have been interested in how you set it up too, posed in Maya or DAZ studio, did you use the rig natively or apply a new one etc,
you were bit scant on info so I was unsure just what anyone was meant to reply or think,

If it uses DAZ 3D content (as I think this one does), or illustrates an interesting technique then it's fine and useful.

Yeah I probably should have mentioned I animated it in Maya with imported DS figure. Sorry about that I´ll add this info. You did not look like moron wendy don´t worry : )

I find it extremely hard to animate in DS but I would like to try animate a short dialogue when I figure out how to set keys and such.

Now that V7 face is fully rigged and the pose sliders for face are no longer morphs thus cannot be exported to maya, I will have to try it there.

Also I just tried to animate something real quick and one big issue I noticed in DS:

Lets say on frame 4 I dial in one of the visemes and set a key. If I dialed ER for example and want my character to only say ER on that frame, why does it affect all the other frames as well and in all other keyed frames the character now looks as if she was says ER?

And, is it possible to import an audio file to DS to help me animate? To the basic animate Lite I think. I found information that Animate 2 can add audio files but I don´t think it comes with the free DS.

Yes I noticed that with visemes on G3F too, other figures are keyframed with tweening to the facial expression.
To make her talk you need a mimic configuration file ( dmc file) and lipsync in 32bit version, you can render it in 64bit
there is no dmc for G3F / V7 yet though, if I get time on my rostered day off I may try to make one, DAZ may soon release a better one.

DAZ studio can import an audio file, it has to be. wav

I was going to animate her talking by hand but that strange issue where what I key bleeds over to other keyed frames just makes it really difficult : (

And how exactly do I import the audio file? I have no .wav option when I click import in DS.

Thanks for your help wendy : )

When I try to import, DS does not even see the .wav files I have. Are you sure I don´t need any plugins?
