I have the brown bear, but I could really use a black bear. smiley

    Apart from being smaller and blacker, is there much difference? Will confess I haven't really seen either in much detail. Regards, Richard.

    The face and shoulders are different. I don't think I've got the skill to fake it.

    AHH. They do look more different than I thought. I only saw them briefly in two different places in Alaska (Hyder in the pan-handle and Denali National Park), never close together. I see the problem.

    Oh, wow. That's great that you've seen them. The only place I've seen actual bears is at the zoo. Although the black bears do roam my neighborhood sometimes. When they get hungry and bored I guess, like the moose do. I'm on the wrong coast for brown bears, though.

    Interesting. I don't actually have the Hivewire dog. I'll have to look out for another Hivewire sale. Thanks for pointing those out.
