Just starting!

Hi, I'm just starting and I want to experiment with hair. The lesson shows how to put it on, but not how to take it off and put on another. What am I missing and where should I go from here? Thanks!

Hope I'm reading this correctly. Select hair prop in scene tab, right click > delete to remove. Select hair prop in content library to apply to different model character.
Thank you for that! I knew it would be simple.
Another question: There don't seem to be a lot of hair choices for Victoria that came with the bundle. Do I need to buy some more? And is there a good hair bundle?
Welcome friend, anytime. Your statement is correct pertaining to bundles, it's your choice to purchase more hair or use what's available with DS or bundles. Sorry, I'm not to experienced with hair choice, I've used 2 Victoria hair props past 2 years. Lot's of various hairstyles go on sale each week, check the store often. Hopefully, other users will chime in to assist with hair.
There's not much hair specially for V7 yet, but G2F hair works just fine. There are no hair "bundles", but with the current sale going on, you might get a few sets at a good price.
Also, if you are a member of the Platinum Club, they have lots of older hair available for $1.99, and newer sets for around $3.99-$4.99
There are also a lot of free hairstyles out there. Have a look at this thread Free Hair and Hair related Items List
Wow, thanks to all of you for those replies! I'm on my way!!!
Now I have a technical question......
How can I make a models butt a little rounder without widening the hips? Is that possible?
Thank you again!!!!:-)
What figure? You would need morphs to do that, or create them yourself in Hexagon or Blender.
Hmm, what figure... Either Victoria 7 or Genesis2? Or one that's compatible with them. I thought I had some morphs that came with those, but I'm not really sure. I'm still very much a beginner. Don't know anything about Hexagon or Blender.
Thanks, Jimmy, for your reply!!!
What you should look for is 'Glutes', and there should be sliders for Glutes size, Glutes Width etc.
You will find these here : http://www.daz3d.com/genesis-3-female-body-morphs for Genesis 3 at least. which will work with V7 as well.
Thanks very much Jimmy!!! I will try that right now! Bless you!
In addition to the excellent glute morphs, Sickleyield (a content creator here), also has this excellent freebie morph for rounder bootys ;-)
For one of my characters I used both :cheese:
Thanks again, guys! I've purchased and downloaded morphs now, but I can't seem to find them on the interface. Can you tell me where they might be and how I "merge" them with a figure?
Morphs for G3F (or other Genesis figures) will appear in the Parameters pane, they don't have icons to load from the Content Library, they load along with the figure.
If you can link to the product that you bought, I can probably tell you exactly where to find it, but if you load a figure, select it in the Scene pane (if not already selected), and then look in the Parameters pane.
You don't 'merge' it with the figure, you simply use the sliders in the Parameters pane to adjust the morph to how you want it.
Thanks very much Jimmy! I will try that (which I have not done yet). Will let you know how it works. (And probably post another question.)
Thank you, 3dlux! I have looked at their home page but not downloaded yet since they want me to register. Will their morphs work on all figures? Or just genesis2 or 3. How about Victoria?
And Jimmy, a question for you. Thanks for your post, but the glute parameter doesn't appear for ALL my figures. Do I need to purchase morphs for each individual figure? Also the morphs seem to have a lot of limitation. The one for the crease doesn't seem to work at all. Am I missing something?
thanks for your help!!!
You really need to join ShareCG, it is well worth it. Morphs are made for particular figures, so they are not usually interchangable
If you bought the one I linked to, it is for Genesis 3 Female, and will work for that figure, and any other morph of that figures, like Victoria 7 (or any other Generation 7 figures that appear in future). Morphs for the original Genesis figure (Generation 5) will work with Victoria 5, Michael 5, Aiko 5 etc, etc,, and the same applies to Generation 6 (Genesis 2 Female and Genesis 2 Male)
The one for the Glute Crease is very subtle, and doesn't seem to do much for me either. You can switch the limits off for each one (Left and Right) by clicking on the little gear icon in the parameters slider, selct Parameter Settings, and the untick the box that says 'Use Limits' You can only go so far with that, as it may crumple the mesh if you go too far, that is why limits are set for parameters.
Hope that will help for now?
What JimmyC said about registering for ShareCG
And the booty morph is for Genesis and G2Female/Male so by using it your chicks and dudes get more junk in the trunk
Thanks to both of you! I'm travelling at the moment, but I will join ShareCG when I get home. I have Victoria 7 and Genesis3, so is sounds like the morphs I have will work for those. I also have Genesis 2 and Victoria 4 and it sounds like I should purchase morphs for the original Genesis figure, which is generation 5.
I will experiment with turning off the limits on the parameters pallette.
Thanks again for your help! Can't wait!
