Luminance value

Hello!
I'm starting to render external scenes with Iray.
I'm using a skydome, which with the iray shader added gives it an emissive value... as you probably know :P .
Anyway, I'm using Watts (at least, I assume it's watts) as the luminance value (because it's the only one I know anything about ^^').
At the moment, I've got the luminance units turned up to 70000000000... Which is okay as it's lighting the scene pretty well.
However, I was wondering if anyone knew of the perfect/optimal luminance value to recreate daylight (lighting a scene perfectly or, as close to perfect as possible).
Thank you

Sun light and Moon light are usually in lumens or lux.
Values in Lux here for different day and night.

Thank you for the links, they've really helped.
I'll save them to my favorites for future reference. :D
I probably wouldn't hurt to check the color temperature either.
