Howdi,
I'm wondering how I can get softer shadows out of [Marshian Projector] this before post. Basically they are super hard shadows as its a point light. However when you change it to a different shape it no longer works at all, so how do I get softer shadows out of a rig like this?
So the question is also; Can you get soft shadows out of a point light (point shaped spotlight) at all?

I wouldn't say it doesn't work at all, the shadows do get blurry when changing the shape of the light from "point", but there is an annoying shadow artefact in the center of the projection for any size greater than 1.0. I vaguely recall some discussion about the shape of Iray spotlights and associated issues...
ETA: The documentation center's ReadMe has some other tips for the product, but is of no real help for this problem.
Thanks a lot for the help guys, yes perhaps a bit of an over-exaggeration on my part, basically meant the effect I was looking for (and normally associated with light geometry) wasn't happening for me, so thank you for giving it a try NorthOf45! Cool, now at least I know where I'm at, I haven't rendered it out because I can see its sharp in the preview, so I'm basically talking about when an arm and object is in front of the body it casts a sharp shadow on the character, obviously avoidable with pose and position, also an easy fix in post, but you know how you get about getting a render as close as possible to the desired outcome! Sometimes I waste a lot of time in Daz trying to render without what are simple photoshop fixes.
Anyhow I'm gettting some very pleasing render styles from this so I'll play about some more, its a lovely product! Keep up the good work Marshian, I've piled up a number of your products and get a lot from them, Thank You so much...
Thanks again for responding people!...
Good to hear.
Have fun.
