Zombie Textures not exporting to the STL file

Hello. I have created a zombie using some textures for blood, scars, etc.

When I export the model to an OBJ file, which is eventually imported into another program (ASPIRE 8 for woodworking for creation into an STL file), the model opens up with just the base model. None of the texture or prop (pants) is sent with it?  Pictures are attached.  Anyone know if I'm doing something wrong?  thanks.

sorry, I forgot to add that if I send the zombie to Hexagon, it appears fine. But if I export it to an STL from Hex, it get similar naked results.

    According to Wikepedia : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/STL_(file_format)

STL files describe only the surface geometry of a three-dimensional object without any representation of color, texture or other common CAD model attributes.

So, it looks like it can't be done that way anyway.

Hmm, so the addition of a gaping scare does not alter the geometry? if that's the case it makes sense. But what does adding a scar, hole, blood actually do (for us noobies)?  thanks.

It's likely those are all texture details - possibly with displaceemnt or an opacity map, but that's still image-based and not geometry. Wouldn't having a hole in the mesh be a problem for what you intend anyway?

thank you Richard for the explanation.  I don't know if it would be a gaping hole. I was thinking it might just be a distortion or addition to the geometry to give the impression of the blood or scars.  I can add some of those features in the other program.

I'm still new to this so from the looks of it as long as I stick to morphs and props it will work out for the translation to an STL.
