Which shader is iRay and which is 3Delight?

A lot of the new products are now including shaders for both 3Delight and iRay, which is good. The trouble is, the icons don't always indicate which is which. For skin and eyes, it's not a problem, as the iRay shaders make the skin shiny and the eyes cloudy in the preview. But I've got the Mane hair, and each hair colour has 2 icons (actually 4, because 2 are for the shorter hair and 2 are for the default). I presume that one is an iRay shader and the other is 3Delight, but how can I tell which is which? The hair in the preview window looks the same with either. This is not the only product where this issue arises - it would be so helpful if all vendors gave some sort of indication of the render engine on their icons, as some do.

Mane hair doesn't come with Iray materials, according to the page:

    http://www.daz3d.com/mane-hair-for-genesis-3-and-2-female-s-and-victoria-4

    • Textures Include:
      • 1 Transparency Map (30 x 30)
      • 11 Texture and Transparency Maps (1024 x 1024)
      • 29 Texture, Bump and Transparency Maps (2500 x 2500)
      • Texture Templates available through the Product Library
    • DAZ Studio 3Delight Material Presets (.DUF)
    • Poser Imported Material Poses (.PZ2)

    That said...

All new content that came out with Iray materials so far had an own subfolder that contained the Iray materials, so it's easy to tell apart. Most of the items sold on the DAZ website do not have Iray materials, though.

Are you looking at separate folders of different shader types in the Content Library tab, or all the shaders bundled together in a single view in the Smart Content tab?

Looks like we've found another flaw in the Smart Content system...

I don't have Mane hair, but I've noticed that products that include Iray shaders have been categorizing them into an Iray group.  If you are a Smart Content user, expand the Materials group and see if the there is an Iray sub-group containing the Iray shaders.  Here is an example of that with the Dark Storm pants material presets that came with G3F Starter Essentials.

edit: Click on Wardrobe for the 3Delight material presets.
