Looking for some skin tone help

Relatively unskilled user here trying to build an Asian-American superhero. Started with Genesis Basic Male and applied a head morph that suits me. But the skin tone is of course still Caucasian. I don’t have a complete Asian male character for Genesis. To just change the hue of the skin … do I use the diffuse color? Any guidelines available for how get skin tones into the proper range without looking caricature-ish?
