Setting Iray Preview render to specific canvas, LPE ?

Is it possible to render a specific canvas or LPE in the iray preview ?

In the render editor I can set a specific canvas, but this setting only gets used for a final render - the preview always uses the beauty pass. This makes LPE editing a bit time consuming, because for every change I have to start a new final render.

LPEs only come into play when you render.  There are no LPE options for Iray preview mode.
